BI Group Launches a 250,000 m² Development Project in New Tashkent

On November 15, 2025, the international development holding BI Group presented the concept of the “Astana” residential district in New Tashkent during a live teleconference with the participation of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The project is being implemented at the request of the “Yangi Toshkent” Directorate and is expected to become one of the first modern landmark districts of the rapidly developing capital. The architectural concept unites the identities of two cities — the youth and dynamism of Astana and the historical depth of Tashkent — highlighting the cultural closeness and mutual trust between the two nations.

The “Astana” district is conceived as a modern residential area with a comfortable urban environment, as well as developed social and commercial infrastructure. The first phase includes the development of a 10-hectare site, with the project value estimated at around USD 200 million, demonstrating the Kazakhstani developer’s long-term commitment to the development of New Tashkent and strengthening of intergovernmental partnership.

During the teleconference, BI Group CEO Aidyn Rakhymbayev stated:

“Honorable Presidents, within the first phase of the ‘Astana’ residential district in New Tashkent, we plan to build more than 3,000 apartments with a total area of about 250,000 square meters. The project is fully prepared to begin construction.”

The launch of the “Astana” district in New Tashkent demonstrates that Kazakhstani development expertise can set trends internationally by introducing new standards for urban environments. Such projects enhance economic cooperation, create jobs for local specialists, develop local supply chains, and establish a new level of trust between countries. For Kazakhstani businesses, this is a step toward regional leadership, while for residents of Uzbekistan, it is an additional guarantee of quality, innovation, and advanced construction technologies.
