In Almaty, the building of the specialized "Zhanuya" complex for orphans, located in the Medeu district, is being demolished to make way for a modern facility with enhanced conditions and infrastructure.

The old building, constructed back in 1967, no longer met safety requirements and modern standards. The new project is being developed from scratch and includes significant expansion of the area, creation of comfortable conditions for children, and the implementation of modern technologies.

"Thanks to the support of BI Group, which has taken on the responsibility of executing this complex project entirely at its own expense, a new building will be constructed on the site of the existing complex. The area of the complex remains the same – 2.7 hectares of land, with the preservation of the entire ecological environment. All facilities will be under public control, so no residential or commercial buildings will be constructed here," emphasized the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Zhanuya" Public Foundation, Rafael Gasanov.

The new complex will include an educational block, workshops for practical training in shoe-making, sewing, and carpentry, a dining hall, and a well-equipped dormitory. According to modern Japanese methods, the sports and assembly halls will be combined.

"Previously, 6-8 children lived in one room. Now, according to standards, the rooms will accommodate four people. Each will have their own wardrobe and personal space – this is the children's wish," said the project manager of BI Group, Dias Tungishbekov.

He added that, in addition to improved living conditions, the "Zhanuya" complex will be equipped with new sports grounds, recreational areas, and a greenhouse where children can engage in gardening. As part of the landscaping, a new alley will be planted, but the existing trees have been preserved – the developers carefully fenced each tree trunk to avoid damage.

Special attention has been given to equipping the medical block, which will include a speech therapy room, a psychological support room, and even a salt mine to promote the children's health. Additionally, tactile and color navigation systems have been developed for children with disabilities to help them navigate the building more easily.

The cost of the project is estimated at 5 billion tenge. After completion, the new complex will be handed over to the Almaty City Administration.
