BI Group Extends Warranty for New Projects to Five Years

The founder and CEO of BI Group, a major development company, Aydin Rakhimbaev, announced on his personal page in social networks that starting in 2025, the warranty period for all residential projects under construction by BI Group will be extended to five years. For Kazakhstan’s real estate market, where the law mandates only a two-year warranty, this is a step that could significantly impact the construction industry.
According to BI Group management, the decision to extend the warranty is driven by several factors. First, the company has invested in technological upgrades to construction processes, including stricter quality control, the use of new materials, and enhanced standards such as improved soundproofing. Second, a digital monitoring system has been implemented to swiftly detect defects. The top management emphasizes that these measures provide confidence in the quality of their homes and allow for an official guarantee of reliability over a longer period.
In addition to the new warranty, BI Group plans to actively introduce digital services:
- A marketplace offering goods and services for new residents, ranging from interior finishing to furniture;
- AI-powered video surveillance systems aimed at enhancing security;
- “Digital Broker” – a program that enables users to submit mortgage applications to multiple banks online.
Experts compare this move to the experience of the automotive industry, where Asian manufacturers gradually conquered European and American markets by offering high-quality products and extended warranties. Raising warranty standards, once considered a risky step, ultimately became a critical factor in building companies' reputations and consumer trust. This shift in the automotive industry prompted all players to improve production standards, benefiting consumers with access to more reliable and higher-quality products. A similar effect is anticipated in the construction sector.
Real estate market specialists note that the five-year warranty could potentially push other developers to revise their standards. However, not all companies may be ready to bear the associated costs: reducing warranty risks requires investment in materials, quality control, and service maintenance throughout the warranty period.
