Summing up 2025, the Corporate Foundation “Zhuldyzai” marked several significant milestones. The year was remarkable both in scale and impact: as BI Group celebrated its 30th anniversary, the Foundation’s social initiatives reached a new level of systemic implementation and tangible impact on children’s lives across the country.

One of the key focus areas was the MUMKINDIK pediatric surgery program. At the beginning of the year, the Foundation planned to perform 300 high-tech surgeries; however, the target was exceeded, and 325 children received complex surgical care in 9 cities across Kazakhstan. As a result, families saved an estimated KZT 4.9 billion that would otherwise have been required for treatment abroad.

Surgeries were conducted in the format of international medical master classes with leading foreign professors. Throughout the year, 26 visits by international specialists from Japan, Australia, Italy, and neighboring countries took place. Together with Kazakhstani doctors, they performed highly complex procedures in pediatric cardiac surgery, orthopedics, and other specialties. This master class model ensures knowledge transfer and enables similar surgeries to be performed in Kazakhstan in the future without involving foreign doctors.

“We were considering treatment abroad, where the cost of surgery started from 45 million tenge, excluding travel and accommodation. We began searching for funds, but one day we learned that a world-renowned professor was coming to Kazakhstan. The surgery was performed free of charge. Now my son is starting to eat and walk. We are endlessly grateful to the doctors and the Foundation,” said the mother of one of the patients.

“Within the project, our child underwent a complex surgery. Previously, we were told that several stages of treatment would be required, but after the last procedure, doctors informed us that no further surgeries were needed. This is tremendous support for our family,” other parents shared.

In addition to surgical care, 627 children received consultations from international specialists, and 467 local doctors improved their qualifications through practical master classes. In 2025, five international meetings were also held to strengthen medical cooperation and exchange expertise.

The MUMKINDIK project enables children with severe diagnoses to receive treatment within Kazakhstan, while doctors master modern techniques and integrate them into daily practice. In 2025, a monitoring and evaluation of the project’s results for the period from 2013 to 2025 confirmed its sustainable and systemic impact.

Another important area of the Foundation’s work is the development of children’s creative potential. In 2025, the XX anniversary Republican Festival of Creativity “Zhuldyzai” took place. The final gathered 1,370 children at the Zhekpe-Zhek Palace of Martial Arts. A total of 6,147 children participated in the selection stages, and more than 100,000 Kazakhstanis voted nationwide to determine the Grand Prix winner. This year also saw the presentation of the “Zhuldyzdy Ustaz” medal to teachers for their contribution to developing children’s creativity.

In inclusive sports, the Foundation continues systematic work through the National Inclusive Games across 9 sports disciplines. In 2025, 542 children and 193 coaches from all regions of the country participated in the national finals. As a result of long-term preparation, 47 Zhuldyzai graduates joined the youth Paralympic national team, and 23 participants earned the title of Master of Sports.

In 2025, 1,918 children received support at Zhuldyzai rehabilitation centers in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and Atyrau, including 227 children of BI Group employees. Special attention is given to early development: within the Tilashar project, 27 children spoke their first words, and within the Tusaukeser project, 11 beneficiaries took their first steps, important milestones for families facing serious diagnoses.

The Foundation also invests in developing the professional community. In 2025, Zhuldyzai specialists conducted five training seminars for educators in Shymkent and Atyrau, reaching more than 150 professionals. The training focused on enhancing competencies in working with children with special educational needs.

The projects of the Corporate Foundation “Zhuldyzai” confirm that care, inclusion, and the development of human potential are not one-time initiatives but an integral part of a sustainable business strategy.
